OUR BEERS & PRICING

Hoppy Red (4.3%)

Based on an Irish Red Ale with lots of cara wheat for colour but this beer is double dry hopped with citra and columbus hops. This beer is really hoppy like an IPA and is unique in our brews as the first hop addition is added at the start of fermentation not on day four.

Fools Gold (4.4%)

First of the Pig Barn Brewery beers celebrating the most unique tradition in the world – Haxey Hood.

Crafted with pale ale malt, a hint of light crystal malt and Northern Brewer and Tettnang hops. This golden ale tastes like a lager due to the addition of the German hop Tettnang  - but of course is better than lager - probably!

King’s Ale (3.8%)

The lowest ABV we produce. Named after the King’s Arms pub in Haxey. The beer label is based on the sign hanging outside the pub.

This is an easy drinking session bitter brewed especially for the pub.

Haxey IPA (4.7%)                     BEST SELLER & AWARD WINNER 2023

Inspired by a trip through the micro breweries of Delhi with my wife and brother. The elephant used in the beer label was bought from a small market in Delhi and is made with silk thread. This beer is our best seller and won the Gainsborough 2022 CAMRA Beer Festival ‘beer of the festival’

Ken’s Best Bitter (4.8%)

Named after my Dad. In his hay day one of the best fast bowlers in the Isle – in my opinion!!

This is a best bitter brewed with East Kent Goldings and Northern Brewer hops with the addition of golden syrup at the end of the boil for that bit of sweetness. A superb winter bitter to drink next to a roaring fire in your local pub.

Carolean Pale Ale (4.2%)

A pale ale brewed with one hop only – Bramling Cross. A double dry hopped pale ale created to celebrate the Kings coronation.

Dry hopping with this hop realises a berry flavour to the beer – for us it tastes of blackberry.

Dukes Return (4.2%)

Named after the newly re-opened Duke William public house on church street, Haxey. A pale ale bursting with Amarillo and citra hops and a cracking label produced by Pete Smith.
